Call for Nominations for the Annual ECOS Rachel Carson Award

ECOS is seeking nominations for the Rachel Carson Award presented each Fall at our Rachel Carson Celebration. If you know someone who exemplifies the life and values of Rachel Carson, please fill out the nomination form below and return it to the ECOS office, PO Box 9118, Niskayuna, NY 12309.

Criteria:

The nominee Does Not need to be an ECOS member.

The nominee should be living and residing in the Greater New York Capital District.

The nominee should exemplify the life and values of Rachel Carson including:

1. Creation of awareness about the environment.
2. Concern and stewardship of the environment
3. Embody the personal characteristics of: courage, perseverance, tenacity and vigilance.

In one page or less please describe why the nominated person deserves the Rachel Carson Award based on the above criteria and submit your nomination by August 1, 2010.
