The Virtual Speaker Series will resume November 18th. The series will feature an environmentally focused speaker. They will be the third Thursday of every month, beginning at 7:00 pm. Zoom invites will be published on the website under events and emailed to all members before the event. Please join us for these enlightening presentations.

November 18th – Roy Thornton – will present on how and why capped landfills can make excellent habitat for grassland birds and pollinators. He will also discuss progress in Niskayuna towards making the Blatnick Park capped landfill better wildlife habitat, competing interests for the acreage, and maintenance of the bluebird houses on the landfill. 

December 15th – Holiday Celebration

January 20th – Millie Gittinger – she will share a visual journey on one her amazing travels from Antarctica to the Appalachian Trail.

February 17th – Scott Stoner – he will speak on attracting birds to your backyard, which covers feed and feeders, water, shelter and weaves in some identification of common backyard birds.

March 17th – Corrine Hansch – Lovin’ Mama Farm – committed to feeding our community nutrient dense, delicious, and beautiful food and flowers while tending the land in an ecologically responsible way.
