This preserve was created in 1965 when John Glen Sanders died, leaving the land to the town of
Glenville. At 390 acres, the preserve offers hiking, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding
trails. Hunting is permitted in certain areas of the preserve by town permit only. Several streams
traverse the preserve, forming numerous ravines and small waterfalls. Trails proceed from the
north and to the south from the preserve parking lot.
