May 24, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Here’s a flat loop trail for an easy stroll through the woods. By May the Hepatica and Bloodroot are gone but there are many delightful spring ephemerals that are not as well known. We’ll learn about their myths and legends as
well as the way people have used these plants in the past. Sigrin Newell and Debra Barnes Breitenbach, co-leaders. Directions: We can meet and carpool or caravan to the trailhead from the Stewart’s at the west end of Rt. 146/Main St. To meet at the trailhead go through the park on Rt. 157, turn right on Ketcham Rd., right again on Rt. 157, right onto Old Stage Rd., right on High Point Road/Trail; immediately on the right is parking along the Perimeter Trail. Or drive up from Altamont on Old Stage Rd.; after a steep switchback, turn left onto High Point Rd, parking as above.

The number of participants will be limited to 10 people, and we will adhere to other COVID recommendations of
the time. The walks are by pre-registration only; please email [email protected] to register, and be sure
